M&A Excellence Day 2025
On March 24th and 25th, 2025, Goethe University Frankfurt was the meeting place for the German M&A community: around 700 participants came together at the first M&A Excellence Days to discuss strategies, technologies and perspectives on corporate transactions and to network.
In six parallel tracks - flanked by a partner exhibition, side events and a dedicated networking platform - M&A was examined in all its facets: from strategy and valuation to integration, ESG and digitalization to legal disputes. In terms of content, the variety of topics ranged from current market and industry trends to tools for target screening and digital due diligence, transformation strategies and post-merger integration.
The event opened with a prominent panel bringing together representatives from BM&A, BVK, KfW Capital and Goethe University. The high-caliber panel participants were: Prof. Dr. Lars Schweizer (Goethe University), Jan Pörschmann (BMA), Kaspar Hartmann (BVK), Alexander Thees (KfW Capital) - moderated by Dr. Mai Anh Dao (MADiscover). The second day of the event saw the official presentation of the M&A Award 2025, which is recognizing outstanding transactions for the third time this year.
One particular added value was the exchange between corporates, investors, advisors, lawyers and technology providers, which characterized the M&A ecosystem united for the first time. With interactive formats such as the “DealChamp” - an M&A simulation for further training - and panels on career paths in M&A, the next generation was also specifically addressed.
The event was organized by mandaco on behalf of the German Mergers & Acquisitions Association (BM&A) - in close partnership with the German Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (BVK), the German Institution of Arbitration (DIS) and the exclusive platform partners SAP, SNP and Grant Thornton. For the first time, the integration of Lucanet's solutions also specifically addressed CFOs and the finance community - a key success factor for M&A projects.
In addition, numerous other partners, exhibitors and speakers contributed significantly to the success of the format, including Dealcircle, Stabwechsel, KPMG, Sema, Midaxo and many more.
Conclusion:
The M&A Excellence Days 2025 have already established themselves at their premiere as a new platform for knowledge transfer, exchange and innovation - and whet the appetite for more.
This was M&A Excellence.
